Structural Features of No.9 Single Turnout for 50kg/m Rail
1. The switch conversion device of this turnout is designed with an interlinked internal locking mechanism; 2. No rail cant is provided for this turnout; sloped transition base plates shall be arranged before and after the turnout, and flat joint base plates shall be mounted at each rail joint position; 3. Each switch rail heel in the switch assembly is connected via spacer loose joints. The frog is integrally cast from high manganese steel with iron base plates arranged underneath, and channel-type guard rails are provided as standard components; 4. The lead curve radius shall be measured based on the working side of the outer rail; 5. The top surface of each rail head shall undergo full-length quenching; 5. No.7–17 adjustable spare gauge blocks are available for on-site track gauge fine adjustment.

Technical Requirements:
1. This drawing is designed for the right hand turnout, symmetrical manufacturing and laying out when left hand is required. 2. The guard check gauge and guard face gauge shall be measured at the point rail section of which the rail head width of 20~30mm. 3. 3mm guard rail adjustment shim shall be applied as assembling guard rail. When case of any disaccord of guard rail gauge, the adjustment shim installed transversely should be used to adjust guard-rail. 4. The gauge block shall be designed and installed as the number followed: No.13 gauge block shall be installed on the working side of rails;No.11 gauge block shall be installed on non-working side of rails. No. 13 gauge block shall be installed on one side of the frog and No.11 gauge block shall be installed on the other side
