SS8 Railway Sleeper Screw (Schwellenschraube) Technical Requirements:

1. The designation, manufacturer’s mark, strength class and the last two letters of the production date on the SS8 screw spike shall be stamped in font DIN 1451-2C; character height: 1.5-5.0 mm. 2. SS 8 screw spikes are manufactured and undergo acceptance in accordance with DBS 918 024. 3. The end of the thread may be finished as a concave (crater-shaped) recess, depending on different manufacturing processes. 4. Delivery condition: Untreated. 5. Optional hot-dip galvanized treatment in compliance with DIN EN ISO 1461. 6. Inspection of the limit dimensions of the SS 8 screw spikes shall be carried out at specified inspection intervals.

SS25 Railway Sleeper Screw (Schwellenschraube) Technical Requirements:

1. Marking: Designation, manufacturer's mark, strength class and the last two digits of the production date shall be stamped on the SS25 screw spike in font DIN 1451-2C; character height 1.5–5.0 mm. 2. Manufacture & acceptance: Manufactured and accepted in accordance with DBS 918 024. 3. Thread end: May be finished as a concave (crater-shaped) recess, depending on the manufacturing process. 4. Delivery condition: Untreated; hot-dip galvanizing per DIN EN ISO 1461 available on request. 5. Inspection: Limit dimensions are inspected at specified intervals.

1. Code designation, supplier’s mark, property class and last two-digits of manufacturing year shall be marked on the product. 2. A concave profile is permitted at the thread tail. 3. This drawing is converted from reference original drawing VA-1.3225.g. 4. Standard delivery condition: bare finish. 5. Optional finishes: hot-dip galvanized or Dacromet coating.
